Diary of a voyage from Tilbury Dock to Australia and New Zealand [manuscript]. 1929-1930.

Journal of a voyage from Tilbury Dock (UK) to Australia and New Zealand and back to Plymouth, 27 Sept. 1929 to 12 Feb. 1930. The journal describes passengers met and places visited, including Suez Canal, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and a tour of New Zealand. Passengers are also described. The MCC touring side were on board, including Gilligan (Captain), Wooley and Duleep Singh. Some of the ships travelled on were the Orford, Niagara and the Aorangi. Also found in the diary is an undated newspaper clipping relating to Lord and Lady Bledisloe. Lord Bledisloe was at one time Governor-General of New Zealand.
